Rodrigo and Antonella met in 2004 with a shared passion for wine and the extraordinary beauty of this ancient land, Abruzzo. Both strongly tied to Italy, Antonella and Rodrigo envisioned a piece of land,35 Hectares of vineyard located adjacent numerous National Parks, in a bucolic corner of Central Abruzzo region in the village of Loreto Aprutino where they could further plant their cultural roots with a vineyard, an olive tree orchard and a home. In 2007 they harvested their first vintage. Today, iLauri source grapes and olives from leased properties in three distinct villages: Loreto Aprutino, Collecorvino and Città s.Angelo to offer to enthusiastic patrons.
"Sustainability still has varied definitions in our world. At ilauri we aim to give the term clear focus and a concrete meaning. It is more than simply an aspiration or mission. It is our lifestyle."
